Medea Creek
Arts Collective
An informal group of artists and makers in Oak Park, California. We started in 2026 and we’re looking for our first members.
Potters, painters, printmakers, woodworkers, jewelers, fiber artists — anyone making things in and around Oak Park. Membership is open to anyone in the area who makes work. There’s no jury and no portfolio review, because we’re a neighborhood group, not a gallery.
We’re named for the creek that runs through town, not for the middle school of the same name. We have no connection to the school or the school district.
What we’re planning
- A public directory of local artists, so people can find and commission work nearby
- A community craft fair, aiming for this winter
- Open studio days, small and low-stakes
- A scholarship for a graduating Oak Park student in the visual arts
All of it is early. Nothing is scheduled yet.
Who we are
Started by Ryan and Kate (Ceramics), both in Oak Park.
